Cambridge, as one of the nation’s fastest growing economies, offers great opportunities for enterprising property developers. We were asked to design a re-development scheme for an underused commercial building on the edge of the city centre.

We completed thorough market analysis and assessed a range of investment options for feasibility to inform our development proposal, in line with local planning requirements.

The design for Varlander Courts is centred around four courtyards, referencing both the city’s private college courts and its dense medieval public streets. The development is mixed-use, with both office and retail space for start-ups and student accommodation, creating a new iconic real estate asset and capitalising on the growing demand for student accommodation in Cambridge.
