How do you tie together a set of individual businesses whilst preserving their own identities?

Our clients, who own several businesses across the West Country, were considering creating a more coherent design across their property portfolio. We instead suggested reinforcing the broad variety of existing styles, while bringing the properties together in a more subtle way. We designed a hand-turned oak knob which could take on a range of finishes and a number of different uses, from kitchen cabinet to coat hook. Whilst the wood turned knobs all look the same from upfront, closer inspection reveals the variety of different cross sections, not unlike our client’s business portfolio. Same same, but different.
