Our brief was to propose a business concept to respond to two of London’s foremost housing challenges; the lack of affordable rental accommodation for young people and the number of larger properties still occupied by single older people, often lacking the necessary care and support networks.

Inspired by global shifts towards a sharing economy, we developed a mixed tenure accommodation concept operating under a membership model. Members of all ages would purchase shares in the business and obtain the right to live in a shared flat anywhere in the world, with a tailored offering for both young and elderly and financing as required.

Our example Home in London consists of 5 blocks set within planted gardens, designed to foster both interaction and a sense of privacy.
