Following commission to develop a new restaurant concept and site in a British seaside resort, we quickly realised that no location, however special, could ever beat eating seafood right on the water.

Working with the prospective operators, we came up with the idea of a floating seafood restaurant right in the middle of the estuary. This unique business will become a culinary destination for locals and visitors alike and ultimately help to reinvigorate the town’s declining hospitality industry.

We knew that building and operating a floating restaurant would not be without its challenges, so we brought together a strong team of designers, engineers and naval architects to help overcome these and prove the potential that playful ideas and great design can hold.
